[Ham-Mac] no sound on EcoLInk

I recently joined EcoLink and downloaded the program to my MacBook OSX- I tried a contact with DK9CR using the ISEN repeater in Germany. He was able to hear me but try as i might I could not hear him. I checked the audio on the Mac and noted the sound level on the EcoLink icon to no avail.
Any suggestions would be welcome. It Might be that DK9CR with whom I had a contact on EcoLink have an audio problem. I  have not tried any other contact.
