[Ham-Mac] Fwd: fldigi-3.21.78 posted

The update to OSX Mavericks incorporated the “Gatekeeper” function that initially won’t allow the new version of fldigi to install. However, you can override that by right-clicking on the file and then selecting the “Open” function and it will allow the install to proceed. You can change the preference for Gatekeeper in the System Preferences/Security & Privacy/General pane if you want to.

I ran into this issue yesterday when trying to install “Chirp” [radio memory management utility] on my laptop. Chirp requires a Java runtime to be installed before it will function and I found this solution poking around trying to get Chirp to work.

As usual thanks to Dave and the crew for all the hard work.
