Haney,
I don't have a iOS device, only iMac running 10.8.5 so I don't know if this will apply to iOS.
In 10.8.5 there is in the system preferences a security and privacy pane which if I click it, under general there is a selection called
Allow applications downloaded from 1. Mac app store 2. mac App Store and identified developers 3. anywhere
I have mine on number 3. anywhere. If you have it on the other two I don't think it will allow you to open it unless you downloaded from the apple store or from identified developers. If you have it on 3 then I can open anything,,,even malware hi, but I maintain Sophos anti malware app running. Rumlog should open but maybe the author is not identified formally.
So long story for a short answer, is there preferences where you have some control over what you can open.
Maybe somebody else has a better answer.
And yes Rumlog is very good app, lots of parameters to select from.
I have it on my iMac, but don't use it.
