I also love LoTW, but the "signing" process does nothing to ensure that you are submitting ONLY valid QSOs.   

I could, just as easily as with eQSL, sign and upload a large bunch of bogus QSOs…they would only match if the other end also uploaded.  This "blind" matching (requiring both ends to submit matching logs) is what ensures the accuracy of LoTW, not the TQSL signing process.   The blind match system used by ARRL helps to make it a little more difficult to cheat, but not impossible….it would just require some coordination between the two parties to make a fake QSL happen on LoTW….on eQSL, it simply requires one party and an inattentive 2nd party to confirm.    

Ultimately, whether eQSL, LoTW, paper QSL or any other method, QSLing relies upon the integrity of BOTH operators, not the integrity of the upload/signing system.
