Elwood WB9OEW,

Welcome onboard from a fellow fldigi/iMac user. I listen to incoming (and transmit) audio all the time with the Kenwood TS-590S. I have never used a KX3 and wonder if it mutes the received audio while you are operating digital modes? If so, try a Y-connector to get an audio feed to a speaker. As you can tell I must be missing something with your request.
