[Ham-Mac] Airmail

Group:

On my current MacBook I use BootCamp and Windows Vista Home edition to run Airmail software for connecting
to the Winlink amateur radio network and it runs great. This is all for just one Windows program and that's it.

So now, I just bought a new MacBook Air and with it came the latest edition of Parallels.

So the question to the group is does anyone currently use this emulation for Window 7 and how does it work with a Keyspan
4 port USB-serial adapter? I have one port going to my Yaesu FT 100D, one port to the SCS Pactor III modem, one port for GPS position
info and one port for an AIS receiver input to a navigational program on my boat.

Is Parallels worth using or is BookCamp still the best?

Any idea if Windows 7 drivers are available for the Keyspan device and Mac OSX Lion drivers as well?

I will research this tomorrow when I have time but if anyone knows right off the top please let me know.

And for that matter is any Mac developer working to port Airmail over to "our" OS?

I hate to add Windows for one amateur radio program but I must!

Thanks and 73, John, W6JTB
