[Ham-Mac] microham on a mac

Although this may be slightly off topic, the post and my reply. 

I desperately want to know how to use Ham on a Mac. 

I have had my license for maybe 12 years. Have made six contacts on someone else's radio. 

I have tried to by the right hardware after asking questions and no luck. 

I've tried to buy the right antennas, no luck. 

I've tried clubs, no luck. 

I've tried HRO, no luck. 

When I say no luck, I mean that there is something that stops, hinders, halts, interferes and derails my attempts to get on air. 

After I buy hardware, try to hook it up, send emails for support questions, the hardware mfg response claims they don't know anything about Macs. I understand this response, but a Mac did not seem to be a problem when I purchased. 

So I lurk on lists and try to glean understanding and fire up the rig again to no avail.
