[Ham-Mac] Fldigi Suggestion for 60 Meter RTTY

The FCC, ARRL and others have posted all kind of messages about operating frequencies for the 60 Meter band. With fldigi you are ready to go for the authorized digital modes. Just make sure the fldigi "QSO Freq" or Operating Frequency used is one of the center frequencies posted by the FCC. They are:
Channel 1: 5332.0 kHz 

Channel 2: 5348.0 kHz 

Channel 3: 5358.5 kHz 

Channel 4: 5373.0 kH

Channel 5: 5405.0 kHz 

I assigned memory slots 61 to 65 in the TS-590S to these five channels. 

If you plan on using RTTY, be sure to un-check the option in the Configuration/Modems/RTTY panel to "Use Mark freq" for logging. The checked option is good for normal RTTY; however, for the 60 Meter channels you want to log the center, not the Mark.

Logging of the RTTY Mark goes back to the old days when there was only FSK RTTY and it became the accepted practice or standard among amateurs to log the Mark as the QSO frequency. This is still the accepted practice today for logging programs when the rigs are in RTTY or FSK mode.  Dave, W1HKJ, has given fldigi users the option to log the RTTY Mark or center. All other digital modes log the center.
