[Ham-Mac] fldigi 3.21.40 and FT-950

I'm having problems getting fldigi to control a Yaesu FT-950, I'm running OS X 10.7.3 and an FTDI based USB-serial converter.

RUMlog can talk to the rig just fine: it reads the frequency and mode without problems.

HamRadio Deluxe (running on the same computer as a Windows 7 virtual machine on Fusion) works fine as well.

But fldigi cannot read/control the rig. I configured it to use the right serial port, and when I quit and restart fldigi I get an error message about a protocol error.

Any ideas?
