Good to here RYTelnet is working for you. This is another RYTelnet tip based on what I learned using fldigi.  Go the RYTelnet Color/Text menu and click on Text RX.  It will present you with font selection box. Select Menlo Regular size 13 and see how you like it vs. the default font. Be carful with font selections in RYTelnet as some will break in the TELNET panel.   

I now use OS X standard Meno fixed-width font for both RYTelnet (size 13) and fldigi (size 18).
