Dale,
Hence my original comment that the choice of logging programs depends on what you do in the hobby.
If you are not a DX'er then packet cluster integration is not important and that would mean Aether could be a good choice.
If however you are chasing DX and want to watch the packet cluster network then it's important that your logger integrates with the cluster.
For example, if a station is spotted it should check it against your log and tell you if you need the country (worked or confirmed) or need it on that mode or that band. Then it should indicate by color code if it's needed (worked or confirmed) and by glancing at the DX summary screen you can decide if you want to QSY to that station. If so you should be able to click on it and the logger will take your radio to the Freq and mode.
If those functions are important to you then there is no better choice than RUMlog.
For me, I wouldn't use a logger that doesn't handle the lookups for me and saves me the time of checking each spot.
As a nice side benefit if you are in to the CQ Marathon then RUMlog also checks the spots against this years activity and lets you know if you need the country and or Zone for this years Marathon.
Very nice if you are in to that.
