Several years ago I had audio issues with the Griffin iMac. In addition to being a A-to-D converter, it acted like an audio attenuator. I finally ditched it and replaced the older SignaLink SL-1+ with a Signalink USB and that solved the audio attenuation issue. When I purchased the Kenwood TS-590S, I was able get rig of both the SignaLink USB and the Keyspan Serial-to-USB adapter using a single USB cable. The direct USB connection is the best interface I have used. I use OS X 10.7.2 to fldigi.
