I should have been more specific in the subject that I was talking about updating fldigi with the current list of LoTW users. Different programs use the HB0BZA listing. I think Don Argo maintains the current lotw1.txt on his server for MLDX users and Terry AB5K has auto updates for AR-Cluster v6 users. I am not sure how Tom handles the updates for RUMlog and RUMped.
At the present time it is up to fldigi users to download and install the current cty.dat and lotw1.txt file in their .fidigi folder. There are update links for each in the fldigi Online documentation and I have mentioned to Dave, W1HKJ, that adding these links as buttons under the fldigi Help menu would be useful. Something like this may show up in some future update.
If you are a RYTelnet user, you do not have to worry if you are using an AR-Cluster running version 6 because the cluster software tracks the the LoTW users and the current cty.dat file data. Unfortunately, the orphaned RYTelnet has the countries hard coded for the voice the announcements. I turned them off years ago.
If you use the cty.dat file or the lotw1.txt file, you need to keep both current. Each application handles them different.

If you mouse hover over a call sign, fldigi pops up a tooltip with all kinds of good information based on your log, the QTH from the current cty.dat file and at the end it will tell you if the call is a LoTW user based on the lotw1.txt file. The hover tooltip is just one of many cool operating aids W1HKJ has provided for us to use.
