Hi Bob,
The tip saved me from the PITA updating of the rytelnetsettings file using a text editor where some updates worked and some did not. It is nice to have a fully functional RYTelnet back in action. I can even change the color to display my own bad taste.
I disabled the sounds, announcements and foo-foo stuff and just use RYTelnet to access the cluster. Too bad Roberto hard coded the countries list so it that feature is out of date but the newer Clusters all use AD1C's cty.dat files.
I have not tried DXSpider but it good to know RYTelnet works.
