One question can be answered simply.  While attempting to transmit
from J65a (tune, CQ, etc.) hold the PTT button on your mike.  Is
there any indication of transmitting (the power meter fluctuating)?
The SignaLink appears to have its on VOX circuit which senses
audio and activates the PTT line to the rig.

It sounds like you have no audio because you don't have the
USB Codec correctly configured in the Windows Device Manager (did
I just date my Windows experience?)
