1) Varies. I like RUMlog the best. The price is right (free). Other good ones are Aether and MacLoggerDX, but they cost a bit. Personal preference is what it comes down to. YEALogger is another new one that shows some promise. Try them all and you'll find the one you like the best. For contesting, the most popular seem to be RUMped and SkookumLogger.
2) CocoaModem is a native app, but I prefer Fldigi. Works 100% on OS X and does a lot more than CocoaModem. Also integrates well with RUMlog. Both are free.
3) MacLoggerDX supports the Pegasus. Aether does not. I'm not in front of my machine right now, so I can't recall whether RUMlog does.
4) About the only choice for SSTV is MultiScan. You can also run MMSSTV under Crossover for Mac, or in a virtual machine. There are no digital SSTV programs that I'm aware of, and I've been unable to get EasyPAL to run under Crossover for Mac.
5) Check out my website (www.k3dcw.net) for a list of the software I use. My top 5 list includes: RUMlog, Fldigi, SkookumLogger, JT65-HF (under Crossover for Office) and Flwkey (WinKey software from Fldigi team). A good virtual machine (I use Parallels) and/or Crossover for Mac can help you run most Windows software that you might want/need to run on the Mac.
73,
Dave
