[Ham-Mac] FT-1000D and MacLoggerDX

I'm getting ready to hook up my FT1000D to my Intel iMac 3.06 gHz Core 2 duo. I have a cable on order and want to know if I need a special driver, like this one: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/macloggerdx/message/3189

Any guidance is appreciated before I muck things up.

I'm going to have to enter a few thousand Q's manually in MLDX, so I'd like it to be right.
