[Ham-Mac] Help with an AppleScript for cocoaPTT to key a Kenwood TS-590S via a USB Interface

When I was testing the TXLevel attenuator in fldigi, I wanted to try a
performance comparison with cocoaModem. I have not used W7AY's
cocoaModem 2.0 for some time so I installed the latest version and
ran into a transmission issue.

I had no problem receiving in cocoaModem via the USB Audio CODEC
input but could not figure out how to get cocoaModem to key the
Kenwood TS-590S via the USB Audio CODEC output.

My assessment was the problem was related to the direct USB interface
between the Kenwood TS-590 and the iMac running OS X 10.6; and
my assumption was cocoaPTT could be used to handle the PTT. I checked
W7AY's web for page for cocoaPTT at

http://homepage.mac.com/chen/w7ay/cocoaPTT%202.0/index.html

and it talks about serial ports rather than USB ports. I did managed to get
the cocoaPTT Preferences/Serial Port selector to find the SLAB_USBtoUART
and checked RTS option. The configuration panel shows the cocoaPTT
option active; however, it still would not key the rig.

The missing element in my setup is an AppleScript that can be selected
from the cocoaModem Preferences/AppleScript to key the rig. My attempt
to prepare a script following the example failed. I am not very good with
AppleScripts and just gave up messing with it.

If you have an AppleScript that will let cocoaModem and cocoaPTT key a
rig via a direct USB interface, I would appreciate a copy.
