Hello,
New beta (6) of MultiScan 2 is available for download. User's Guide has not been updated yet to include beta 6 changes.
http://web.me.com/kd6cji/MacSSTV/MultiScan.html
What has changed:
1.New "live" widget added to Elements: Weather. In order to add Weather report to your picture, you'll need first to enter your location in Preferences (city and state for US or country for non-US stations, you can also click on metric if you want weather data to be display in metric units. Then click on Set. Weather widget is updated every 30 minutes as long as it stays on the transmit view.
2. Clock widget is updated, analog clock are resizable now and colors are selectable (in case of analog it is face color, for digital - font color). You can also add more than 1 clock to the picture. Each clock can have different color, size and display either local time or GMT. Time is updated every minute.
3. New element Caption. You can create a few rtf files with preset texts and use them as captions in MultiScan. When loaded they are converted to images and are treated as images (all images masks, effects are applicable) and can be moved and resized. Captions can be added to transmit view in different ways. You can simply drop rtf file to transmit view or use File/Open Caption menu or use Elements pop up to select Caption and click add. Also you can set up image browser to toggle between captions and images.
Give it a try and let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Sergei KD6CJI
