[Ham-Mac] Help with ARRL reflector with Apple Mail and ATT

I am trying to setup Apple Mail for my ATT mail using the aa5vul at arrl.net reflector
address.

I have no problems with my basic mail and no problem sending mail using the
aa5vu at arrl.net address.  The problem is the Apple Mail keeps trying to pop mail 
using the aa5vil at arrl.net account.  There is nothing to pop on the pop.att.yahoo.com 
server and I get the spinning beach ball until the pop attempt fails. 

I could use some help on how to stop OS X Mail from popping the reflector address?

I know it easy for Comcast users but would appreciate comments from other
@att.net users.  I did not have this problem with the Microsoft Entourage as it
is easy to disable popping.
