[Ham-Mac] Echolink and EchoMac

Jim this would be a problem for both PC Windows EchoLink users and well as EchoMac? I think yes but it's not mention in any EchoLink information I have seen.

Also even if Hughes provides a real directly reachable TCP/IP address I think the packet latency might also be a compounding issue. I seen reports of 750-1500ms for packets on Satellite links.  This is quite high when you consider my local DSL packets from Toronto reaches San Francisco round trip in about 25ms.  Perhaps it not so bad as echolink is a PTT chat but for realtime chat like iChat or Skype this can be brutal on conversations.

I have friends in northern parts of Ontario and satellite Internet is a godsend, but it does have it's limitations.
