Big thanks to everyone for the discussion on this topic. I finally got my 24" iMac (love it!) and I got Parallels 5 along with it. It will be free about two months from now when my rebates finally get here. Today I'm running N1MM for the NAQP contest, and so far so good. It runs better and faster than on my Dell laptop (both the logger and XP). I had some trouble getting XP to install for some reason, it took three tries and couldn't get SP2 to download through the updater, but was able to download directly off the MS website and get it that way. This is truly having your cake and eating it too. What a way to run a shack!

good morning Chris,
i switched 4 month ago from an old macMini (1,st generation) to a very
new one.
Earlier i tried bootcamp and fusion on my powerBook.
Fusion is a very god choice. I have one xp on the laptop. and in the
shack i have a xp and a ubuntu running with fusion on the minimac.
it works great (as far as i can see, i do use none mac os x only if
there is really no other solution).
important for me was, that the fusion machines takes the net and
printers from the mac without any problem.
i haven´t tried the keyspan serial yet with the virtual fusion pcs.
