It is true, however there is a little bug (still). If you want to change callsign make sure that Caption layer is set to not show, then select Callsign layer, press show button, make sure attributes selector is set to edit, double click on callsign to select it in the view and type your callsign. You can use Format - Fonts - Show Fonts to change font, color, shadow. New callsign will be automatically saved when you quit the program.
