[Ham-Mac] LoTW and Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard

Most likely yes. S.L. has two kernel modes - 32 bit and 64 bit. The  
standard install for consumer machines sets the kernel to 32 bits so  
that compatibility with 32 bit drivers is maintained.

If you were to switch to the 64 bit kernel, you would probably have  
problems. Why would you go to the 64 bit kernel? No idea. In fact,  
Apple's documentation says that the 32-bit kernel may actually be  
preferred.

Try it. You will probably find that most things work just fine!
