Like many others I have a stack of preprinted QSL cards
that were designed for one or maybe two QSO¹s. On
6-7 Oct, I worked the 3D20CR Conway Reef Expedition
on CW, RTTY & Phone and needed to document all four
QSO¹s on one of my preprinted QSL cards.
There may be better solutions but I used the Aether
logging program's Show button (on the QSO Details
panel) and it displayed only the four QSO¹s of interest
with the right stuff for a QSL card. I then used the OS X
Snow Leopard shortcut (Command-Shift-4) to select
and copy all four QSO¹s as a Screen Shot on the desktop.
The saved image in the Screen Shot format looked
good, but was too large to print, cut and paste in the
blank space on my card. To reduce the image, I opened
MS Word and used the Insert/Picture/From File command
to insert the image saved on the Screen Shot. It was
then easy to resize or reduce the image so the required
text would fit on my preprinted QSL card.
Since there was plenty of space on the .doc page, I had
four different sizes printed on one page. Then used real
scissors to cut out the block of text that looked best for
the QSL card and attached it to the QSL card using a
glue stick. The printed format was very legible compared
to a mess I would have made trying to write out each
QSO.
There may be better ways to document multiple QSO's
on an existing QSL cards; however, this worked for me
and the price was right.
Thanks for reading. I hope it was useful.
