Hi Rick,

Can't run a "windows emulator" virtual machine like VMware or
Parallels unless you have an Intel based Mac.
Virtual machines don't emulate Windows they provide a virtual
environment allowing you to run multiple OSes the same Intel hardware.
Could be Windows or could be Linux, or Solaris etc...

Maybe a UNIX port or java program is what you looking for? http://www.softpedia.com/get/Others/Miscellaneous/jLog.shtml
Or web based log program? http://web-logbuch.de/

What features are you looking for in a logging program?
Do you want just simple log or to be able to grab freq via serial
cable from radio? Which radio?
Do you want to perform call lookups? Do you subscribe to QRZ.com or
other call lookup system?
Do you run digital modes? Do you need to log contest?

Not happy with any choices then you can create you own logging
software using a database program like FileMaker.

Good luck in your quest.
