Hi Don,
Actually I had a number of times. I even talked to you over Skype about
it I believe. You said then that others hadn't seen that issue either.
As it turned out, my serial adapter was fine, I was able to see the
debug messages through the KeySpan tool, for some reason that version of
MacLoggerDX didn't have great support for the serial device. In later
versions that got better. But The times I needed to actually use the
program for logging, I had lost entries or completely lost the log I had
for that contest and had to go to paper.
Like I said, I brought the issue up with you and you didn't seem to have
any desire to work with me on it claiming that nobody else had seen it.
I also noticed that the previous version wasn't very fast on my 2.6GHz
intel Core 2 Duo mac with 4G of ram.. The new version seems to be MUCH
faster on this hardware. But like I said, I already spent over $100 for
something I never have used in a contest or with any regularity because
of the issues that I had.
I didn't intend to bring this into this forum, like I said, I was
looking for something that will work for my needs and I can't afford
another $50 w/o knowing that this will suit my needs.
Best,
Mark ,K6EF
