[Ham-Mac] Waterfall display questions

Both iSpectrum and CocoaModem do require live audio as you put it. It's
very simple, just connect between audio input/output of your soundcard and
the K3's line in and out sockets on the rear panel. The line out socket is
at a level you can adjust within the K3's config and will not change with
the af gain control on the front panel. Once set, you can forget about it.

You will not require any additional interface, as the line connections to
the K3 are fully isolated, you will only need a couple of 1/8" jack leads.
One must be mono, can't remember which, but there is clear labelling on the
K3 rear panel to alert you to which must be connected to a mono 1/8" plug.

As to whether the mac will simultaneously feed audio to multiple
applications I don't know, Windows XP (SP3 onwards) will do this, one of the
reasons why (heresy!) I now use a windows netbook for most of my radio
stuff.

Hope that helps
