Airmail 3 is working for me to get/send packet Winlink mail using  
telnet through the Internet. Serial connection is a bit trickers as  
you need to read this article.

In my case I am using a keyspan 4 port serial adaptor (a USB adaptor  
with 4 serial ports).
ln -s /dev/tty.KeySerial1 COM1
Worked for me.
Your milage may vary as serial communication isn't officially  
supported in CrossOver.
