Ham happiness was working the VP6DX operation on
all bands and all modes until it came time to prepare
the QSL card for direct mailing.
Like many others my QSL cards are printed and were
designed to document one or two QSO¹s on the back
side. I don¹t think the VP6DX operation wants a QSL
card for each QSO and my handwriting is not that good
to document all QSOs in the space available. The Mac
solution was pretty easy.
In the Aether logging program I did a search for all
VP6DX QSO¹s, then selected all and copied them to a
new page so I would not screw up my normal log.
In the new page I did a right-click on data table menu
and unchecked the fields not necessary for a QSL card.
I kept the Date, Time, Rx RST, Band and Mode. I could
have printed this page but it would have been to big to
fit on my QSL card and my HP printer scaling sucks under
Leopard. I then used the old Mac Command-Shift-4 to
select and copy the Aether items of interest to the
clipboard as an object.
I then opened MS Word and pasted in the object and
adjusted the size to what I thought would fit on the back
side of my card that is normally reserved for an address.
While I had Word open, I copied my ³Greenie² report from
the VP6DX online log and pasted it into the same MS
Word document and scaled it to fix in another bank
space on the left side of my standard QSL card.
The final part was easy. Just printed the document and
did a real cut and paste with scissors and paper cement.
The card looked great and should be easy to for the QSL
Manager to read.
Yes, I uploaded the QSO¹s to LoTW but all of my DXCC
credits are based on real QSL cards. VP6DX is now just DX*.
You should be able to do the same thing with any logging
program or just type in the data a Word table. I hope this
Mac-101 tip is useful and will be used.
Please respond if you have an easier way to get multiple
QSO¹s on part of a QSL card.

* Rare DX are the countries you have not worked. Once
worked they are just DX.
