Hi,
About 18 months ago Nick VK2ZTY was working on a port for OSX.
I have not pinged him in some time to see how he made out. I will send
him mail shortly and see if any progress was ever made.
This was his reply back in Jan 07.
Hi Lee,
It is compiled on Intel OSX but still work in progress. eg It is
tested on Intel but not yet on my G5 system.
Some interface glitches persist - the main one is picking up wrong
mouse click info within the SpecJT window.
Interface is similar to Windoze with exception that the Main menu is
moved to top of screen (instead of top of App window) as per Mac
convention.
Haven't really tested portability of the binary for it yet. It may be
the shared library (Audio.so) is all that is needed. It will depend on
portaudio-v19. Unsure of other dependencies. I need to test it onto a
virgin system which is what I was going to onto the G5. Give me a
little time so I can define how portable the binary is, and see how to
install the dependencies. It may be can get away with a simple tar.
Compiling is also an option, and I can give you a recipe, but it is
also ugly at present needing a small hack of the f2py package which it
depends on, and slightly customised wsjt.py and specjt.py. I'm happy
to tell give you all this but once again I'll need a little time to
put together for you.
Just back from holidays today and buried in work :( which is why can't
give you instant detail. I'll attach an Audio.so in any case - it
might just run for you - but suspect you'd at least need to get and
install portaudio separately. Download the wsjt source code, and place
Audio.so in your wsjt 5.96 executable directory where wsjt.py lives,
and run 'python wsjt.py'.
