What they don't tell you is that there is a 30% return rate on the
netbooks.
Which means many are not meeting the expectations of the customers.

If here at Apple we saw a 30% return rate on a product it would be a
disaster.
Big costs for dealing with returns and customer unhappiness. Sucks
away profits quickly.

Nothing is wrong with Steve Jobs. Apple is really more than one guy.
We have some of the best award winning Engineers and business people
who create all of the HW/SW.

Apple is pulling out of trade shows as the cost doesn't justify
return. Not just cost of booth, but equipment, people, Time of year
not great as many employees lose much of there holidays preparing.
Spending more on opening more stores which provide more intimate
contact.

Recall many other trade shows have closed this year. Cisco, Netapp and
many others.
We think trade shows will likely continue for the business to business
trade rather than to consumers.
