Peter, glad your getting back into it, and with a great computer too (no

I'm not sure, don't have either, but if you get a USB <-> Serial adaptor,
get Keyspan, they appear to be the best.

It's got to be MacLoggerDX ( http://www.dogparksoftware.com/), all Dons S/W
is good and support 2nd to none.
For data modes, I'd go for Chen's cocoaModem (

Not a direct equiv afaki - MacLoggerDx has a contest type 'mode' which isn't
too bad for casual contesting (all I do at present), but I believe it might
not suit a serious contester, I'm sure you'll get lots of replies on this
one.
Get Parallels (
http://store.apple.com/Apple/WebObjects/ukstore.woa/wa/RSLID?mco=7E4EB91E&np
lm=TN831) for your Mac and run XP on it too. It works really well, again,
you're bound to get lots of input on that too. I don't have an intel Mac at
present, but my Son at Uni does - it does work very well, You'll need an OEM
copy of XP to put on the Mac for Parallels to run.

NO, don't do that - don't let them win!!!
HiHi
You shouldn't need to do that with an intel Mac.
