Jeff N8NOE,
I don't have anything on MacLoggerDX. I am not a MLDX user but as I recall
Don Ago provided an AppleScript to MLDX users that activates the cocoaModem
"Log" button. I think it is pretty neat that MLDX users can click the "Log"
button in cocoaModem and have the QSO logged. Hopefully, one of the MLDX
users has figured out how MLDX logged data can be used support the CQWW
contest logging requirements. Again, I am not a MLDX user so I defer
comments to others.
Everyday QSO logging and Contest logging are two different animals. The
cocoaModem 2 application does a good job of logging a preparing Cabrillo
format .log files for specific contests. The CQWW DX RTTY is not one of the
cocoaModem supported contests.
As noted earlier you can participate in the contest by using the "RST + QSO
Number" template and have fun. You will be able to send the correct exchange
and log the zones but not the States/VE Areas. For this reason your
Cabrillo .log file will not be accepted by the CQ robot.
