Want to run digital in MARS
need MT63, BPSK, etc Olivia, Pactor rarely (have TNC for that)
like Cocoamodem but it does not support MT63 or Olivia
not excited about Multimode for Mac just not worth 90$ imnsho..
I am reduced to having to try to use PC software in Parallels
anyone else in this boat??
The CPU machine is a MacIntel Pro running XP Pro in a Parallels VM
this machine of course, has NO serial ports, only USB2.0 and a couple of 1.0
Test State - starting and running in BPSK31
1. machine signal tones are going to the SL and keying the transmit
2. cannot get the MixW to recognize the Sound card, it likes rigblaster and
another and all else are relegated to computer card. ??? part of problem I
think
3. cannot get the MixW to keep the card settings for USB Codec
4. Cannot get the MixW to hold the View2 from one reboot to another
5. MixW loves to shutdown and I have to reboot. and reset all the settings
6. XP knows that the dedicated sound card is USB Codec
Audio playback and record are set for USB Codec Wav is set for some other
card
7. cannot get the separate windows for receive and send
8. cannot get the receive window to show the gibberish or occasional traffic
when my hairline is aligned with the yellow signal line.
do I need to install the software for emulating the serial ports?
that will do for a start ... a friend has a pure XP Pro machine and has much
the same problems. I am thinking about eating the $50 and sending 89$ off for
a Mac version of MultiMode instead. even if it is cruder in
appearance/operation and much more limited in the modes I need. Just wish
that MixW would port to OS X 10.x
will appreciate any help.
