Hi David,
I've used Macs for years and haven't had a problem with them (yet).
Right now, I'm using a 1.42 GHz Mac Mini with a 17 in Dell display.
No problems. Right next to it, I have my PC -- assembled of parts
from Fry's Electronics; 3.2 GHz Pentium with the exact same Dell
display. Very noisy - on HF through 20m. But it was cheap. I use
it for engineering work and avoid putting it on the net as I can. I
try to turn it off when I'm not using it. I leave my Mac on all
day... connected to a DSL port.
So far, so good. And I concur on not 'contaminating' the Mac. Also
concur on cats, hi.
