I just tossed in the towel of getting my Kenwood TS-570S(G) to talk to the
Mac G4 via a Keyspan USA-28X USB to Serial adapter. It may be a cable issue
but I am clueless on how to correct the situation.

The interface issue is complicated by the the Mini DIN 8 (F) output
connector from the Keyspan adapter. I tried a loaned Mac-to-Newton cable
and it did not work. There is no such thing as a Mini 8 (M) to DB-9 (F)
cable so I tried to make one and gave up trying to figure out what wire goes
where. I just tried a known good Mac modem cable that goes from Mini DIN 8
(M) to DB-25 (M) using a new special ordered DB-25 (F) to DB-9 (M) adapter
that showed up today. The connection was made but no joy with the
communications.

I have messed with the Kenwood Menu Item #35 Communications Parameters
trying to get it in sync with the Port and Speed settings in the KenMacWood
app and all I get is a ³No Communication Established with the Radio² error
message.

I would like to know if there is another Kenwood TS-570 or TS-2000 Macintosh
user that has been able to get the KenWoodMac application to communicate
with a TS-570? Please let me know what cable you used?

Some things are just too hard and may not worth the effort.

Ps: Patricia K5HER has TH-D7 and she is having the same issue with her Mac
and another program. She even has a Keyspan with DB-9 output using a DB-9
(F) to DB-9 (F) cable to interface with the Kenwood.
