I faced a similar decision. I opted NOT to go with the Signalink
because an Elmer convinced me that:
1) The microham usb digikeyer has THE most quiet 16 bit sound card
available which makes it a great decoder.
&
2) Minimizing the number of "wires" going between the rig, interface
and computer minimizes rfi complications.
I bought the uHam USB digikeyer and have been very happy with it both
for rig control via MLDX and as a sound card with cocoaModem. The
uHam digikeyer is also designed to use the aux connector on the rear
of your rig for I/O which leaves the mike & head phone jacks on the
front of the rig available for their intended use.
I don't have any negative info on the Signalink, just wanted to give
you another alternative.
