[Ham-Mac] RIGblaster hookup help

Hi, guys.  I just got a RIGblaster pro.  I'm going to hook it up between my G4 Powerbook running OS X 4.8 (and maybe some day my dual 2.7 GHz tower!) and my Yaesu FT-990 DC.  (I also got the DIN CAT cable, which I can also use with my 736R)
 
I plan on using Multimode OSX.
 
Any suggestions, helpful hints, criticism will be appreciated.
 
Mainly I want to know if this will work!

(I just upgraded to General last Saturday, so am interested in playing with some of he digital modes on HF.)
