[Ham-Mac] QRZ or QSL Widget

Do you really need a Dashboard widget? It would be technically easy
to do, but perhaps tricky to distribute without QRZ.com's permission
since it would prevent the user from seeing the ads that help support
the service. And a widget that copied all the ads would be rather
large.

If you are using Firefox, you can make a bookmark of the form:
   http://www.qrz.com/callsign/%s

(or substitute the word 'detail' for 'callsign' for the more verbose
view). Set the keyword field of the bookmark properties to qrz You
will then be able to enter 'qrz zl2ia' in the location bar of Firefox
and go directly to the appropriate page.

In Opera, you can configure the same feature from Preferences... Search.

If you use Safari, similar functionality can be added with Sogudi.

Similar tricks can be played with Quicksilver, Butler, or LaunchBar
so that it just takes a couple of keystrokes and the callsign to send
your browser to the qrz.com page for the desired call, without first
finding the browser.
