[Ham-Mac] OT - My mac won't print

I tried two laser printers, a HP LaserJet 1020 and a Samsung
ML-2510. Both are dumb printers and the driver has to do more than
just speak PCL. I posted the question on the local Mac usenet group
and someone suggested a link which led me to an app called Printer
Setup Repair. I used that to clean out the drivers, etc. and when I
reinstalled, the HP now works (I haven't tried the Samsung). I had
to use an older HP driver, since this printer isn't supported in the
new ones (Windows only). The Samsung came with Windows, Mac and
Linux drivers. These are cheap ($100 on sale) printers but when they
work, they are all I need).
Thanks for all the responses.
