[Ham-Mac] vm ware and monitors

I feel I need to update some info re: the tower

MAC!! -  computer - didn't have to ask

4 processors at 2.67 gig
5 gig ram
1.750 Tbyte SATA hard drive

VM Ware
with XP Pro and Vista Ultimate

my son in law installed progs for me (he is IT security Pro.)   
(thinks the new Macs are very solid systems)  doesn't care for osX  
but does use Linux
I downloaded and ran most programs you  have had listed on the HamMac  
list at variious times and all seem to run

I had to retest for my Ham ticket and am currently only a Tech but  
plan to upgrade now that I don't have to deal with the CW
I used to be a Advanced operator but let license lapse and now am  
hard of hearing (also old and slow) so no code seems to be the way  
for me to get back into hamming
I LOVE my Mac and have several but still miss my old AMIGA computer
as far as displays I went with Circuit city and Samsung (22in  
1680X1050) because of top ratings in various mags and best price
plus ordered on line here in Detroit and picked up display 20 mins  
later at store
I have not seen a better looking display recently and think that for  
$179$ it will do the job for you
