I'm happy to read about the positive feedback on VMware.  Is there  
anyone who argues for Parallels in preference to VMware?  If so, why?

  I'm interested because I just bought a 2.2 GHz MacBook Pro, and I'm  
debating with myself which to choose.  My immediate interest is in  
running ICOM's software that comes with its D-Star rigs: ID-1 and  
IC-98AD.
