It certainly sounds like a networking problem.  UDP traffic on ports
5198 and 5199 must reach your Mac.  If you are behind a firewall or
router that does network address translation (NAT), this usually
requires some configuration.  Some tips are in the EchoMac Help
"Solving Problems" section, and others are in the archives of the
EchoMac-users mailing list... depending upon the firewall/router
involved.
