Hello everyone,
Thanks for all your suggestions and ideas regarding TH-D7-APRS-X
program. Some of them (if not most) are implemented in the new
version that I posted today at http://homepage.mac.com/kd6cji
File is TH-D7-APRS-X v1.1.b.dmg
What is new:
1. Fixed a bug that would make program stop communicating with radio
when packet with ambiguity in position received.
2. Changed the way how frequency is set. Also added step selection
for both VHF and UHF bands.
3. Duplicated every command that available only in TH-D7A(G) with
older version that should work with TH-D7A and TH-D7E
4. Tiger Maps are now provide more details depending on map size.
5. Fixed the bug when program would only recognize added maps if the
file extension in lower case, now both cases work.
Some explanations:
To add a map from existing file, you need to have it in gif or jpg
format and know the center coordinates of the map (latitude and
longitude in decimal degrees i.e. dd.ddddd for latitude and ddd.ddddd
for longitude, West longitude and South latitude should be negative.
Also you need to know the width and height of the map in degrees
(decimal). All UI View maps should work and the values required can
be easily derived from INI file for UI View map.
Mysterious round button on the general settings screen with the
picture of antenna tower on it is communication reset. When pressed
it resends to radio all commands that are sent during program start
up. Can be useful if you forgot to connect radio to computer when
started TH-D7-APRS-X (I definitely need to change the name of the
program :-) Any suggestions?)
As always will be glad to hear your comments, concerns, suggestions,
complaints and anything else you would like to say about the program.
Thanks and 73, Sergei
