I assume you are using OSX.

Go to System Preferences > Sharing > FIrewall > New :  and then add  
the ports and label it EchoMac.

Then just check EchoMac when it shows up on the Firewall  "Allow" list.

Are you using a router, if so you will have to open the same ports on  
it.
