Dick N5XRD,
When your software starts transmitting, does the red LED on the SL-1 for PTT
light up? It has to stay lit (not flash) to send a PTT signal to the rig.
I suspect you may have low drive from the software that is not triggering
the SL-1's Auto-PTT circuit. The are two ways to adjust this drive. One
is to pump up the output from the software and the other is to adjust the
gain pot in the SL-1.
If you are using cocoaModem play around the the PSK Config panel and click
on the transmiter menu item. The adjust the output slider until you key the
rig. The sweet spot is where you can see full power out of the rig with no
ALC showing on the meter.
