Hi David,

No trouble with mine, but these thing are highly variable to  
position, power, ground, freq,  etc...
Would say as mice go the mighty mouse USB cable is one of the  
shortest as it meant to plug into keyboard.
(Usually a good start to reduce EFI.) Mouse cords are generally not  
well shielded as to keep them light and flexible.

Make sure your grounds are separate from computer. I know easier said  
than done. :-)
My radio's ground is outside where as computer ground to house plug.

As I recall you have several other USB devices like Powermate.  Could  
be a compound thing?
Try switching USB ports, perhaps hub ports, and/or unplug USB devices  
and see if it make a difference as a test.
