Todd -- I'm using a LogiTech as well with no problems.  You may want  
to check out the free utility SoundSource that really helps manage  
your audio inputs/outputs.  BTW, when I plug the LogiTech in it  
automatically becomes the input/output sources (and shows up in the  
drop down control bar display from SoundSource).  Check out:
