The reason for my original posting is because I've just purchased a LaCie d2
500GB disk and it comes with SilverKeeper

BTW, I'm happy with Deja Vu, just wondered if anyone knew if SilverKeeper
was better, or even what Retrospect is like to use to keep a backup on disk.

And yes I do backup to tapes that go offsite (~ 80 miles away), just in case
I have a fire.

Now don't think me paranoid, but I'm in IT and I've experienced the problems
of missing backups etc and the work a business has to go through when some
idiot has lost the damn tape!

My backups include all my correspondence, my company accounts etc and (most
importantly) all my photos from iPhoto and mpegs, DV etc. I make 2 copies;
one is kept in my QTH, the other at a relatives QTH.

I don't make those very often (less often than I should), but I do also
backup the MLDX log and my documents, email etc every day to another disk
(well two disks actually).
